Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically rigorous candidate who will focus on mRNA synthesis, mRNA characterization, and supporting mRNA vaccine programs. This position will give the successful candidate exposure across a broad range of mRNA therapeutic applications and functions within the organization.

Key responsibilities for position
In this role you will.
Independently design and execute decision-quality research
Responsible for synthesis, purification, and characterization of synthetic mRNA
Provide subject matter expertise in mRNA technology to internal project teams and committees
Contribute to platform projects by developing, evaluating, and implementing new technologies and optimizing existing workflows
Coordinate with vendors and contract research labs to advance research
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations to management and other stakeholders
Function in a highly collaborative team
Supervise junior team members as needed
This will be primarily a lab-based position

Competencies / Requirements for position
Ph.D. (with 1-3 year of post-graduate experience) in a related field (e.g. cell or molecular biology, biochemistry, chemical or biomedical engineering, biotechnology)
Desire to work in a team-first, fast-paced environment, learn new skills, and to efficiently solve problems.
Attention to detail and meticulous record keeping.
Molecular biology: RNA synthesis (in vitro transcription), RNA isolation, plasmid purification and digestion, qPCR, ddPCR, capillary & gel electrophoresis.
Deep knowledge and insights in RNA biology and protein engineering.
Previous experience with mRNA synthesis and mRNA vaccines is a plus.
